Affidavits and statutory declarations
A Commissioner for Oaths administers oaths and affirmations for documents such as affidavits and receives statutory declarations. Attend in person and sign before the Commissioner; do not sign the document in advance.
Bring your original identity card or passport, the document and any instructions supplied by the organisation requesting it. You will also need to provide the required particulars and sign the register book.
Certified copies require a different service
Commissioners for Oaths cannot certify true copies. If you need a certified copy, ask about Kevin’s notary public service and confirm the receiving organisation’s requirements before arranging a visit.

Sending an enquiry does not create a solicitor–client relationship. Do not send confidential documents until we confirm we can act. This page is general information, not legal advice about the contents of a declaration or affidavit.
