Planning for your family
Preparing a will begins with understanding what you own, who depends on you and what you want to happen. Existing arrangements, jointly held assets and business interests may raise questions that need separate attention.
Our estate and succession checklist offers a practical way to gather information before a meeting. You can read it without signing up or sending us personal documents.
After a death
We handle enquiries about probate and letters of administration, as well as disagreements concerning estates. Tell us whether a will has been located, whether anyone has begun an application and whether there is an immediate issue affecting an asset or the family.
The appropriate work depends on the circumstances. An initial discussion helps identify the documents and questions that need closer examination.
Passing on a family business
Succession involves both ownership and the running of a business. A will, shareholder arrangements and ownership of the family brand may need to be considered together.
List the businesses involved, the family members’ roles and any existing succession documents. We can discuss how the proposed estate work relates to commercial and intellectual property matters.
Sending an enquiry does not create a solicitor–client relationship. Please wait until we complete a conflict check and confirm we can act before sending confidential documents.
This page provides general information, not legal advice on an estate or succession plan.
