About Us – An introduction
Koo Chin Nam & Co. is a law firm based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We have two offices in the same city, in Wisma Pahlawan and Bandar Manjalara. Read on and find out more about us!
The firm was founded in 1989 by Datuk Koo Chin Nam, the senior partner of the firm.
About us – the litigation lawyers
Since our early years, we have placed an emphasis on general litigation, covering a diverse range including debt recovery, winding up actions, bankruptcies, family disputes, and criminal matters.
Our senior partner Datuk Koo Chin Nam is a senior litigation lawyer.
Our litigation team represents clients for a wide range of cases, such as: breach of sale and purchase agreement (enforcement), winding up proceedings, bankruptcy proceedings, challenge of will, constructive dismissal, challenge of resulting trust, and others.
About us – our other services
We have a conveyancing team that handles sale and purchase agreements, tenancies, and loans. Although our conveyancing team is small, we are dedicated to seeing our clients’ transactions through.
Our firm provides business law services. We advise clients on their business affairs, and cover areas of companies law, joint ventures, and intellectual property. Some of our past clients have included large companies.
Since 2017 we have provided advisory services for Blockchain, cryptocurrency, and fintech companies.
Our lawyers are also able to advise on Islamic law. Datuk Koo Chin Nam had submitted during the case of Nyonya Tahir.
